Hamburg Steak



It's not typical Japanese dish but I love this so much.
so I would like to introduce this today.
With avocados, it's more yummy :)

HAMBURG STEAK

prep time:15 mins
cook time: 20 mins

Ingredients
100g minced meat
1/2 onion
1 egg
3 tablespoons panko(breadcrumbs)
2 tablespoons milk

This is a Japanese curry with grilled vegetables.
My parents sent me so many vegetables,
these one were grown up in my parent's garden.

JAPANESE CURRY
prep time:30 mins
cook time: 1 hour

Ingredients
5 cm carrot
2 potatoes
1/2 onion
100g chopped beef 
1/2 Japanese curry roux
3 cups water

Directions
1.Peel a carrot, potatoes and an onion and chop into one-bite size.
2.Soak potatoes in water for about 5-10 mins to remove the bitterness.
3.Put oil in the pot and when the pot heats, put onions and fry until they are brown.
4.Put beef, carrots and potatoes in the pot and fry lightly.
5.Put water in the pot and stew until the vegetables become soft enough to eat.
6.Put off the stove and put curry roux in the pot and dissolve.
7.Put on the stove again and stew about 30 mins.

Tamago-Yaki



This is a dish in Japanese lunches,
popular with children.
We call this "Tamago-yaki".
Sometimes sweet, sometimes salty,
this dish is really flexible.
Let's cook the easiest one!!

TAMAGO-YAKI
prep time:1 mins
cook time: 15 mins

Ingredients
1 egg
1 tablespoon suger

Directions
1.Mix an egg and suger.
2.Pour about 1/4 of the egg mixture into the pan and scramble.
3.Start making rolled egg, put scrambled egg to one side of the pan.
4.Pour about 1/4 of the egg again to make thin layer of egg.


Sorry for my terrible direction. 
It's difficult to explain for me.

Have you ever had "Lotus roots"?

The one in the upper left corner of the picure is
"Lotus root Kinpira".
"Kinpira" is a typical Japanese dish.
The taste is sweet and soy source taste and little bit hot.
It's easy to cook.


LOTUS ROOT KINPIRA
prep time:15 mins
cook time: 20 mins

Ingredients
5 cm lotus root
1 red pepper
1.5 tablespoon soy source
1 tablespoon suger
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame oil

Directions
1.Peel the lotus roots and slice thinly into half-moon shape.
2.Soak them in water for about 5-10 mins to remove the bitterness.
3.Put sesame oil in the pan and when the pan heats, put red peppers and cut lotus roots
   and sautee for about 5 mins.
4.Put water into the pan and boil until the soup stock evaporates.

Love Deep-frid Chiken

The brown one in the upper right corner of the picture is
Japanese style deep-frid chiken :)
I love it so much and kids love, too.

Deep-Frid Chiken

Prep Time:30 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients
150g chiken
2 tablespoons soy sauce …A
2 tablespoons sake …B
1 tablespoon mashed garlic …C
1 tablespoon mashed ginger …D
5 tablespoons olive oil

Directions
1.Cut chikien into bite-size pieces.
2.Mix A,B,C and D and soak chikens in this for 30 mins.
3.Deep-fry soaked chiken until they are brown.

PUMPKIN KOROKKE
-Japanese style pumpkin croquette-

cook time: 30 mins

Ingredients
1/4 pumpkin, peeled and chopped
10g butter
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumb(panko)
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup olive oil

Directions
1.Put pumpkin into microwave for 5 mins and mash pumpkins while they are hot.
2.Add honey and butter into the microwaved pumpkin and mix well.
3.Make flat and oval-shaped patties.
4.Coat each piece with flour
5.Dip in beaten egg.
6.Coat with bread crumb(panko).
7.Deep-fry in about 350 degrees F oil until browned.
